The United States developed ultra light new material which can carry 160000 times of their own weight

According to media reports, the Lawrence livermore national laboratory and the Massachusetts institute of technology
announced recently, Has developed a new ultra light materials through the micro material manufacturing (3D) printing
technique, surface projection stereo lithography technology, This kind of material can bear weight up to 160000 times
their own, under the condition of same weight and density, its stiffness is 10000 times of aerogel materials.
Researchers covered thin-film coating on polymer, metal, ceramics and other materials (metals, ceramics, etc.), (polymer,
metal, ceramics) core mold removal by heat method, left the blank pipe structure. By repeating the above process
manufacturing tubular structure, forming a lightweight, high stiffness metal lattice materials.
The project was subsidized by the advance research projects agency (DARPA) and Lawrence livermore national laboratory
directed research and development (LDRD) program. This kind of material is expected have a significant impact on the
aerospace, automotive industry etc that required for a lightweight, high stiffness, high strength materials industries.
