Since the 1980 s, MIM industry of South Korea have been developing steadily, MIM manufacturers number increases year by year, the number increased to 15, 2016, the main application field for its MIM product is automotive, electrical/electronic and mechanical/ordnance.
The south Korean government attaches great importance to the research and development of MIM, and has invested 2.5 million us Dollars in R&D since 2010. The research and development of the country is mainly based on industrial products (automobile, machinery and ordnance), and the pre-research is mainly magnetic materials, zirconia, glass, medical and thermal applications. Hanyang University mainly studies micro – nanometer powder for dual – mode or three – mode compound injection.The Kerea Institute of Industrial Technology focuses on microrods and thin-walled structures.
