The harm and solution of dirt for moulds in the processes of injection
 
The formation of mold core surface dirt:
1) Gas, sulphur, carbon, etc. : Due to plastic raw materials in the process of injection, gas from mold cavity 
under the impact of high temperature and high pressure, and the exhaust slot instantaneous gas displacement 
fallen behind. 
 
The formation of mould cooling water dirt:
Incrustation,scale, algae and sediment. circulating water in the open water tower in the mold line, after a long 
time use in cold hot high frequent changes.
 
The dangers of mould dirt
1) the parts will have burrs
2) parts sizes are not stable
3) parts appearance bright spot
4) product defective rate is high, low production capacity, delivery delay
5) molding cycle is too long
6) waste of time, artificial, raw materials, and electricity
7) lead to the increase of injection molding cost, thin profit and the declining competitiveness of enterprise etc. 
 
Solution of mold dirt
1. Manual cleaning
Disadvantages: Work labor intensity;
Simple cleaning dirt, can't clean dead corner, blind holes, pores and texture ; likely to damage surface.
 
2. Laser cleaning
Simple operation , but must to do scanning movement when cleaning the mold, staff labor intensity;
Now it is only suitable for cleaning mold with low accuracy, such as tire mold;
Suitable for cleaning large size flat mould;
Mold surface with screens, corner, blind hole is not easy to clean.
 
3. The dry ice cleaning
Apply to clean the big flat mould, such as the foaming mould;
Mold surface with screens, corner, blind hole is not easy to clean;
Store dry ice belongs to consumable volatile, not easy for storage, makes loud noise when cleaning;
When cleaning should wear protective masks, protective glasses, etc.
 
4. The ultrasonic cleaning
Simple for operation , do not need human participation;
Not thoroughly clean, can remove only the oil and rust (general) is mainly used for cleaning products;
Noise is too loud, need to bring earplugs when working. 
 
5. Electrolytic cleaning
Completely clean the mold, dirt inn the cavities, wash thoroughly. Such as connector mold, precision gears, 
precision mould such as auto parts mould.
Makes no damage the mould(including water chestnut, bit pattern, coating, etc.)
It economizes manpower, and improve the efficiency of mold maintenance , reduce defective rate.
Cleaning noise is little, simple operation.
