Powder injection molding includes metal injection molding(MIM) and ceramic injection molding(CIM), is called PIM for
short. Is a kind of advanced manufacturing technology combining powder metallurgy process and plastic forming
technology. The first step is to mix powder and binder, and then granulate the mixture and injection molding.

Polymer gives its viscous flowing characteristics to mixture, and contribute to forming, cavity filling and uniformity of
powder loading. After forming, degrease the binder and sinter the skim billet. Some sintering products may need further
densification processing, heat treatment and machining.

Sintered products have not only the products of complex shape and high precision as plastic injection forming method, but
also with the physical, chemical and mechanical properties close to forging parts. In the traditional machining technology
for complex parts, usually the first step is decomposing, and making the individual parts and then assembly. While after
using the PIM technology, components can be integrated into a complete single part, which greatly reduced the production
step, simplify the processing procedure, cost savings, improve efficiency. Such technical features make the technology is
especially suitable for mass production of small, precise and complex three dimensional shape and the metal parts with
special performance requirements.

steel, alloy valve, cemented carbide. In principle any powder material can be sintered at high temperature can be made
into parts with MIM technology, including the traditional manufacturing technology of hard processing material and high
